Technical Apparel Design: Abercrombie & Fitch, 2010-2011

Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for the technical design of all Abercrombie girls outerwear/bare knits from initial sketch pass to TOP

• Contributed to design meetings, sketch passes, and coordination of new product lines

• Partnered with design, merchandising, and sourcing teams

• Updated line sheets, time & action calendar, and priority charts

• Prepared and fit all samples through thorough pre-fit and fitting process with live fit models

• Digitized, edited, and corrected complex patterns and embellishment placements

• Communicated with factories, identifying, & resolving issues with production

• Ensured garments met stringent construction/handfeel standards

• Determined suitable wash processes based on fabrication and construction

• Actively researched and presented alternative construction methods, created detailed technical illustrations & specifications, implemented cost savings, while maintaining design direction

• Managed detail changes to flag for product, fiber, construction, and quality testing as needed for international customs, duty, and child safety laws
